I think I get my sarcasm from my mother.

• Me: So, I might get a North Face jacket.
• Mom (in Malayalam) : If you get a name brand jacket, you have to be careful on the train! People might see the logo and rob you.
• Me: Oh, on the days I take the subway, I'll just bring my gun.
• Mom (in English): Oh, that's good! That's cool!
• [Laughter ensues]
